Portugal is a beautiful country rich in seafaring history and is well worth visiting. English is widely spoken. Transportation is convenient with some high speed trains. Train routes to Spain are limited and it may be necessary to travel by bus. Portugal is less expensive than most of western Europe.
I recommend visiting Portugal to enjoy the sunsets over the ocean and explore its villages.
